Construction summary…

The 40’ x 65’ building will extend over an existing (but new) basement area. The foundation will be concrete footings and pedestals

  • A mixture of concrete columns and I-beam iron columns placed on the pedestals

  • I-beam iron horizontal beams will be welded over the columns

  • The 2nd and 3rd story floors have double c-channel trusses, corrugated metal decking and a 4” concrete slab

  • Each floor will have 4-7 classrooms, labs or other rooms

  • Walls will be 4” cinder block

Phase One will be completed by April 20:

  • Foundation and column footings
  • 1st floor columns
  • 2nd story floor crossbeams, double c-channel, corrugated metal decking, rebar grid and concrete floor
  • 1st story electrical and plumbing

Phase Two will be completed by May 10:

  • 2nd story columns
  • 3rd story floor crossbeams
  • 2nd story electrical and plumbing

Phase Three will be completed as teams and funds permit:

  • 1st story floor
  • 3rd story columns
  • Stairwell
  • Roof
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Doors

Phase Four will be completed by March 1, 2008

  • Painting
  • Finish work

Original house where the school started.

January 11, 2007... The house was removed to make room for the new 3-story school building.

March 6, 2007... After the original house was removed, the area was excavated.  2/3 of the first floor will be a basement.  The 2nd story will be at "ground level" of the existing sanctuary and other school buildings.
