View larger video image (broadband) Our time is running out! We have set a January deadline to raise $25,000 to purchase the adjacent property for the Tocumen Living Water Christian School. We say thank you to those that have given special offerings, especially in the last few months. $18,250 has been given to date… just $6,750 left to go!
We have told you about the house with land available behind the school that borders the community park. There is no place for physical education at the school. The upper elementary grades must travel off-campus for physical education. The younger kids have to exercise in their classrooms! It’s too dangerous to take them off-campus because the school is located on a busy highway. With the house, we can put a gate directly from this property to the park and have the needed “green area” for PE and recess.
That’s why we need to purchase the house—NOW—in order to give us time for remodeling. We can fit four classrooms in the house: one for the seventh grade, and three to free up existing classrooms for construction. We will begin a two-year construction project in April 2005—a new three-story facility next to the sanctuary, replacing the current classrooms. The additional facilities will allow the school to expand to secondary school and offer an adult fulfillment program. Six churches have already responded and will be sending building teams through February 2005.
