By Rod and Sherry BoydTeach us to number our days aright, that
we may gain a heart of wisdom. 1… 1… 25… 0… 2... No, it’s not the combination to a safe or a quarterback’s cadence. It is the combination to the Boyd family’s Summer of Fun 2001. The psalmist tells us to “number our days” or consider our days properly, and by doing so we gain wisdom. We’re asking the Lord to help us as we look at the numbers!
1… is the number of daughters we have getting married. We are equally proud of Stephanie. You are likely receiving this newsletter near her wedding date of August 11th. She met her new husband Andrew McNamar while attending Northwest College. Andrew graduated in 1999 with a youth ministries major and is finishing a second degree in secondary education. Stephanie will be teaching this fall at a private elementary school in Kirkland. Please pray for Stephanie and Andrew. 25… is the number of years we have been married. June 5th marked this silver anniversary. Please pray for us. 0… is the number of child living in our home. We know this “empty nest” stage will require God’s special grace. PLEASE, pray for us. And therefore... 2… is the number of people who
remain serving the people of Panama, grateful for all those that give and
pray.
