After nine years of "on and off" classes, Rod graduated on May 8th with his Master of Arts degree in Biblical Literature from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. We are so proud of his accomplishment, yet at the same time glad that the long hours of study are finished.
Graduation day was a "happy day" as many friends and family were in attendance as Rod was "hooded" with his master’s degree. To his surprise (a letter had arrived but we didn’t show it to Rod), Rod was awarded the "Outstanding Achievement Student of the Year" by the continuing education department of the seminary.
Thank you all who have sent cards and gifts of encouragement. And thank you to the many
who have prayed for Rod during his years of study.

The ceremony was held in conjunction with the Northwest College commencement
activities. Most of Rod’s classes were taken at Northwest College, which is an
extension site for AGTS. Rod was one of two AGTS students receiving their master’s.
Lynn White, a fellow 1977 Northwest College graduate, also received his master’s.
The knowledge
gained from his studies is invaluable in his responsibilities as co-director of
Panama’s Bible schools. The master’s degree opens up the possibility of raising
the quality and pursuing accreditation for Panama’s Bible schools.
