We want to thank all of those that have contributed to Project MADU. The need for a training center is apparent. The current church buildinga small stick hutis to the point of falling down. The Caribbean storms that hit the islands continue to damage the hut. Originally, our plan was to build the Bible school/center on the mainland. However, after considering the needs of the church, we have decided that it would be better to build a combination church/training center on the island. There is a strong possibility that we can purchase the empty lot next to the church. A family on the island owns this lot and another home also, so the lot is available. The man is in prison in Colon but will be released soon. Please pray that they will be willing to sell the property to the church. We are still hoping that a Pathfinder group from Arizona can come the end of October. $2,800 has been given towards this project to date. A total of $7,000 is needed. Graciously, a Christian company from Texas has extended their offer to match whatever comes in, up to $7,000. If youd like to contribute to Project MADU, please mail your offering to:
Last month a special offering was received to purchase a boat and motor for the new Bible school at Playon Chico. A 25 hp Yamaha outboard was purchased and shipped to Playon Chico. The boat, with a capacity of 20, is being made on the island from a large trunk floated from Colombia. The boat and motor will enable Pastor Carlos to travel to the various islands for evangelism and for training. Please pray with us that the Pathfinder team from Arizon will come and that all necessary funds will come in. Pray that the property next to the church will be available for purchase.
