Congratulations Jennifer! Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor of
Science in Biology from Seattle Pacific University on June 12th. We
are very proud of this accomplishment. At 20 years old, she is a young
graduate. She was able to earn 25 credits during her junior and senior
years in high school through the International Baccalaureate program, "CLEP"
(college level exam program) 10 credits, and earned 10 credits for summer
classes. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.75 GPA.
The graduation was held at Seahawks Stadium in Seattle. Although it
was difficult to spot her among the graduates, she helped us by putting a
photo of Brier, her dachshund, on her cap. Then the big moment arrived
when she received her diploma. It was shown on the "big screen."
We had a celebration for family and friends following the graduation where
more than 30 attended. We were reminded of all the special people that
have had a part in Jennifer's life, each one contributing to this
accomplishment. It was fun watching Jennifer's embarrassment as
different ones called her by her "special name" from the past--"Jenny-poo,"
"Oki-Jenn," "Jenny-wenny" and "Curly" (she was bald for her first several
months).
Thank you to all who have blessed her life in so many ways! Please
pray for Jennifer as she makes important career and education decisions in
the coming months.
